An exceptionally fine needlework. It shows a woman with a distaff, for spinning, and a playful cat that is playing with the yarn spindle.

It's in beautiful, antique condition and the colours are still bright. 19th century and most likely German.

See the second picture for details of the stitching (true colour is probably something in between the first and second pictures, it depends a lot on the light).

This is quite a large piece - approximate measurements:
